AmpCool AC-110 has been proven (in repeated tested) that it is "non-propagating" and will not allow flame to propagate between cells when an adjacent cell has been punctured in the nail-puncture test. Normally, battery modules are designed with a Pressure-Relief Device (PRD) to allow venting of any gases generated inside. This prevents overpressure and rupture of the casing.
