We recommend that acrylic containers be limited to a maximum temperature of 75 C. The number of KW of heat load that it takes to get to 75 C depends entirely on how much cooling area you have. Don't exceed 75C. Also, make sure that your acrylic box is "chemically welded" instead of simply glued together.
Simply setting an acrylic box on top of a metal plate will not ground the box. First, the plate itself needs to be grounded to earth. We recommend several ground points in your system; at the pumps, radiator and metal connections of your hoses.
