Most customers remove the fans from their ASIC mining equipment because for the following reasons:
1. The fans are the first part of the miner to fail
2. The fans use about 10% of the total electricity draw of the miner
3. The fan's vibration kills the electronics
You'll likely need a "fan spoofing circuit" to fool the miner's BIOS into thinking that the fan is still working correctly.
