Due to the vast varieties of equipment immersed in Engineered Fluids Dielectric Fluids, there is no specific documentation for RTX 3070 and 3090 GPUs immersion preparation. Engineered Fluids offers an extensive resource database regarding all system components and common preparation steps on our website under Resources. Based on the equipment being used below are a few common and simple steps an individual can take to ensure their equipment is properly prepared for Single phase liquid immersion.
- In general we recommend replacing the thermal paste with liquid metal thermal paste, indium foil, or thermal epoxy if possible. Removal of excess thermal paste is suggested.
- Clean the board using ElectroCool before immersion to remove dust and other manufacturing detritus. This can be done by simply "dunking and agitating' the board.
- Engineered Fluids also suggests removal of the fans, assuming there is viable firmware to avoid the fan failure alarms that may trigger on removal. Another option if firmware is not available would be to use a fan delete circuit.
