For piping we always use cPVC piping and Fittings.
For tubing we use Versilon A-210 tubing.
EK Duraclear is design only for use with water based coolants and should never be used with any of Engineered Fluids Dielectric Coolants as its made from PVC which is not compatible with Dielectric Coolants.
Please also see our Material Compatibility Guide for more details on piping, tubing, and fittings.
You will notice that PVC insulation is compatible with our Dielectric Coolants, however, PVC pipe and tubing is not considered compatible due to the use/application. Tubing and piping is subjected to internal pressures, and the hardening of the PVC in contact with our fluids can cause an issue when these materials used in this application use their rigidity. This is why we recommend using the Versilon A-210 tubing as it exhibits excellent high temperature and material compatibility with all of our Dielectric Coolants.
Using PVC in temporary applications like testing and prototypes is typically not a problem, however, we do not guarantee the suitability of the PVC materials in this application.
